This 3-week study of the Passion, the Purpose and the Person of Jesus Christ compliments Mel Gibson's portrayal of the final hours of the life of Jesus in his epic film "The Passion of the Christ."

This study is taught by Pastor Lance Witt and Pastor Tom Holladay.

Session titles and synopsis:

1. Understanding the Story Lance Witt)
   Focuses on what the Bible has to say about some of the characters in the film and consider how they responded to their encounters with Jesus. As we look at their lives, we will come away with a better understanding of our own responses to Christ.
2. A Closer Look at Jesus Death (Tom Holladay)
   Focuses on the biblical perspective of what really happened on the cross and what it all means for you personally, as we look at the sacrifice, the suffering and the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.
3. The Resurrection: The Rest of the Story (Lance Witt)
   Tells the rest of the story as seen through the eyes of Mary Magdalene. The session answers the questions; "What happened next? Did the Resurrection really happen? What does it mean for me and how should I live in light of its truth?"
